Alpha graphics is the company that we go through when ordering stationary and business cards. Now, I have no say in who we use or not use but if you do, I wouldn’t suggest using them.
I called in to talk to our rep who is actually very nice. However, she was out sick today so I had to deal with this person named Doug. This is not the first time I have had to deal with him. More later on that. I called to let him know that we needed more business cards and that they have what we use on file. The information on file is what they have always gone off of. Instead of taking the time to look at our account and say, “Hey No Problem, I will get a proof out to you as soon as I can”, he wanted me to go back on my records (Thank goodness I kept good records). So I faxed them over and heard absolutely nothing. Not one email or phone call letting me know that they received them. Yes, I know it is my responsibility to follow-up but like I said, typically my rep will follow up with me immediately. So I call back after lunch because I had sent it over around 9:00 a.m. this morning. When he picked up the phone I asked him if they had received my fax and if he looked over the changes I had made on one of the cards. His words to me were “Yeah! I got them! They are sitting here but I haven’t touched them and I am not planning on it until later today”.
Call me crazy but I deal with clients all of the time and if I am not able to get to their things immediately I either let them know ahead of time or I apologize if there was a miscommunication. Basically you treat your customer like they are the only ones that matter. Whether they are or not you don’t treat them like they are a pain in the ass. As I said, I have dealt with this person before and he was not friendly then either. (Hence, why we have a rep now). This Doug person is the guy that actually calls after you have made/received your order to make sure your experience with the company was a positive one. Ha-ha! He will be getting an earful next review he does with me!
